Whether it’s a van adventure or a busy work week we are ALWAYS on the go! So finding recipes that are nutritious, quick, AND sweet.. an actual dream in our household.

This season I teamed up with DJ Forry. A local, family business in the Central Valley that provides ethical, farm to kitchen produce. They work with a family of other farmers to be able to provide Pomegranate Arils all year long, so you can always get your hands on these tasty little morsels. Sweet Bursts Pomegranate Lemonade

Making fresh juice from arils are easy peasy, a simple blend and strain method. I always make extra to bring with me on our road trips to drink by itself, or to spice up our teas & lemonades.

INGREDIENTS

  • Pre Made Lemonade 
  • Package of Sweet Bursts Arils 
  • Ice 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Blend Arils in a blender or Nutribullet
  2. Strain the seeds from the juice
  3. Add the fresh juice to a cup full of iced lemonade
  4. Top with arils, and enjoy!

Sweet Bursts Pomegranate Aril Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are perfect for an on the go breakfast. There’s no cooking, or heat required! Not only are overnight oats a go to on our road trips, but at home as well. You can really get creative with this one, as the topping combinations are limitless. Pro tip: adding a dash of cinnamon is a game changer 😉

This breakfast staple is as simple as throwing all the ingredients in an air tight container, leaving it in the fridge overnight, and let it do its thing!

Sweet Bursts Pomegranate Aril Overnight Oats

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp Pomegranate arils
  • 1/2 cup Rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk
  • 1/2 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Honey

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine rolled oats, chia seeds and pomegranate arils to your mason jar or Tupperware
  2. .close the lid and shake to combine
  3. Add your milk or milk substitute and honey (you can add more to taste)
  4. shake to combine
  5. place your air-tight container in the fridge overnight. The oats will become softer as they absorb the milk and the resulting texture will be similar to that of cooked oat
  6. enjoy for up to 5 days

If prepping your breakfast the night before isn’t your thing, or you’re just looking for a refreshing mid day snack you’re going to want to stay for this Kefir bowl recipe! Kefir is loaded with probiotics, and has a long shelf life. Think drinkable yogurt, with a twist!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups cup kefir (flavor of choice) 
  • Toppings:
  • granola 
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Bursts pomegranate arils 
  • 1 cup mixes berries (rasberries, strawberries blueberries)
  • 1 apple
  • 2 tbsp chia or flax seeds 
  • honey to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare your toppings, by washing & cutting fruit if need be 
  2. Pour kefir into a small bowl 
  3. add granola
  4. fruit toppings 
  5. then honey and chia seeds
